Security Manager – Spain

About the role

Cemex is seeking a Security Manager for Spain, based at its corporate office in Madrid. The role is responsible for defining, planning, coordinating and implementing security protocols to protect employees, assets, operations and information across the country.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct intelligence‑led risk assessments covering threats to assets, personnel, information and operations.
• Lead investigations into security incidents, fraud and policy violations, delivering root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Recommend and implement cost‑effective security measures to mitigate identified risks.
• Manage security systems including CCTV, intrusion alarms, manned guarding and cyber‑vulnerable business systems.
• Promote a strong security culture and ensure awareness among all stakeholders.
• Monitor emerging threats and design appropriate counter‑measures.
• Provide strategic security advice to senior leadership, operational managers and site teams.
• Collaborate with police, cyber teams and external security service providers.
• Contribute to regional security coordination programs and manage the security budget.
• Ensure compliance with security, safety, environmental and quality standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (desirable) and/or Master’s degree in Business Administration (desirable).
• Native Spanish speaker with proficiency in English.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in investigations within police, law‑enforcement, military or industry roles.
• Proven experience applying physical, procedural and technological protective security measures.
• Experience in corporate security within complex industrial or multi‑site environments.
• Strong background in detailed threat and risk assessments.
