Senior Backend Golang Engineer

About the role

Miratech, a global IT services and consulting company supporting digital transformation for large enterprises, is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer (Golang) to design and build scalable, reliable and secure backend systems. The role covers distributed services, robust APIs and event-driven architectures, with occasional contributions to React-based frontend functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain scalable backend services in Golang, including RESTful APIs and stable data contracts.
• Implement asynchronous, event-driven communication with strong guarantees on message reliability, idempotency, error handling and backward compatibility.
• Design and develop distributed systems and microservices focused on scalability, resilience and maintainability.
• Optimize application performance, reliability and resource utilization in production.
• Take part in architecture discussions and technical decision-making.
• Conduct code reviews and support knowledge sharing.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests, and design secure APIs with best practices in authentication, authorization and identity management.
• Build integrations with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, ServiceNow and Genesys Cloud, and with internal services.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Strong experience building backend applications and services in Golang.
• Proven experience designing APIs and event schemas with long-term evolution and backward compatibility in mind.
• Experience with microservice architectures, distributed systems, relational and/or NoSQL databases, and Docker and Kubernetes.
• Nice to have: React, TypeScript, Protobuf, Azure or GCP, monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus), and IAM solutions (Keycloak, Auth0, Okta).

Required skills

• Golang, with a solid understanding of concurrency and asynchronous workflows.
• Event-driven architectures and message handling (Kafka, NATS, RabbitMQ or similar).
• AWS and cloud-native architectures.
• Authentication, authorization and secure API design.
