Senior CI/CD Automation Engineer

About the role

Roche's Patient Software Insights group within Roche Information Solutions develops software solutions that support healthcare providers and patients, including products under the brands Navify, Accu-Chek and mySugr. As a Senior CI/CD Automation Engineer you will work in collaborative teams of engineers, designers, product owners and QA experts to build and evolve a GitHub-based CI/CD platform that helps teams build, test, secure and release applications to AWS through GitOps.

Key responsibilities

• Create reusable workflows, actions and libraries that help teams build, test, secure and release applications to AWS via GitOps.
• Script, test and troubleshoot problems, and support software engineers in adopting delivery standards.
• Mentor colleagues and share knowledge across teams.

Required profile

• At least 7 years of hands-on experience automating CI/CD pipelines (Backend, Web, API, Lambdas and Containers).
• Proven experience creating reusable GitHub assets (workflows, composite and custom actions, templates) adopted by multiple teams.
• Strong proficiency in Python, writing clean, tested and reusable code.
• Hands-on experience with AWS (IAM, ECR, EC2, Lambda) and proven ability to set up code branching and review processes.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• GitHub Actions and GitOps, including self-hosted runners and OIDC authentication to AWS.
• Docker, Podman and multi-architecture builds with QEMU.
• JFrog Artifactory and Amazon ECR for artifact repositories.
• Java (Maven, Gradle) and Node.js application development.
• Unit, integration and end-to-end testing strategies and quality gates in pipelines.
• SAST and SCA tools such as SonarQube and Snyk.
• Bonus: Ansible and Packer, and knowledge of the diabetes or healthcare industry.
