Senior Cinematic Animator (Freelance)

About the role

CI Games is looking for a Senior Cinematic Animator to join its fully remote team and help create high‑energy, story‑driven cinematic sequences for upcoming titles slated for release between 2026 and 2028.

Key responsibilities

• Animate characters and props for cinematic sequences with a focus on high‑energy action and storytelling.
• Use Autodesk Maya to create, refine and polish animation before integration into Unreal Engine.
• Collaborate with cinematic artists to choreograph action‑driven moments that emphasize clarity and drama.
• Apply technical animation skills such as rigging, skinning characters and props for cinematic use and cleaning up motion‑capture data.
• Troubleshoot and optimise animation pipelines between Maya and Unreal Engine.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience in character animation for games or film with a focus on cinematic work.
• Expert‑level proficiency in Autodesk Maya and Unreal Engine.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating high‑quality cinematic animation.
• Experience with motion‑capture cleanup and implementation.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently in a fast‑paced production environment.
