Senior Clinical Research Associate - Home Based

About the role

ICON Strategic Solutions is hiring a Senior Clinical Research Associate for a home-based position in Spain. Working in a sponsor-dedicated model, the Senior CRA oversees and manages clinical trial activities so that they follow the protocol, regulatory requirements and industry standards. The role leads on clinical trial monitoring tasks with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor clinical trial sites to ensure adherence to study protocols, regulatory requirements and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards.
• Conduct site visits to assess site performance, resolve issues and support successful trial execution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate data collection and reporting.
• Provide training and guidance to site staff and other CRAs.
• Build and maintain relationships with site personnel and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline or healthcare-related field.
• Extensive experience as a Clinical Research Associate with a strong understanding of clinical trial processes and regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to manage multiple sites and projects at once, with strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel approximately 60% of the time.
• Legal right to work in the country where the role is based.
