Senior Data Integration Engineer

About the role

A position for a Data Integration Specialist has opened within Airbus Defence & Space's transversal Data Integration department. You will design, implement and deploy data integration pipelines between multiple sources such as business systems, engineering systems, machines and drones, using Airbus' integration platforms and products. You will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team in classical and agile project management, with end-to-end accountability for solution implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Own integration activities, including design, implementation and deployment, within data integration products to meet digital project requests
• Define integration tasks for new use cases or needs raised by the Product Owner
• Handle UATs and deployments in close alignment with the Operation Manager of the product
• Analyse platform performance to guarantee existing SLAs
• Produce up-to-date information flows, configuration management documentation, UAT deliverables, deployment plans with acceptance criteria and data transport metrics
• Give technical advice on architecture and integrations

Required profile

• University degree in an IT-related field
• Over 5 years of relevant experience as a Data Integration Engineer
• Hands-on experience building ESB and/or ETL/ELT solutions for large-scale on-premises pipelines
• English and French at negotiation level
• Strong collaboration and communication skills

Required skills

• Programming for data integration (Python, Flask, Node, JavaScript, Express)
• Handling CSV, JSON, XML and relational data
• Querying and managing relational and NoSQL databases
• API-based services (a plus); DevOps methods and tools (a plus)
• IT project management, basic IT service management and data analytics knowledge
• Agile methodologies
