Senior Data Scientist – Product (Barcelona)

About the role

Monzo is looking for a Senior Product Data Scientist to help shape the future of banking. Based in Barcelona, you will work with cross‑functional product teams to turn data into actionable insights that drive user engagement and product excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Apply quantitative analysis, data mining and visualisation to understand user behaviour and inform product strategy.
• Partner with product teams to define metrics that matter and design, run and interpret A/B experiments.
• Provide self‑serve analytics and dashboards (e.g., via Looker) to empower stakeholders across the organisation.
• Collaborate with other data scientists on projects spanning borrowing, growth, payments, fincrime, wealth and core banking.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a data scientist, preferably in a product‑focused environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into clear business recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills to guide product teams and present findings to senior leadership.
