Senior Facilities Engineer - Automation

About the role

As part of the Facilities team at Edwards Lifesciences, you will lead and support SCADA, PLC automation and Building Management Systems (BMS/EMS) for critical facilities and utility systems. The goal is to keep offices, plants and facilities running smoothly so teams worldwide can focus on the patients supported.

Key responsibilities

• Drive automation system upgrades, troubleshooting, optimization and lifecycle improvements, including GMP validation and change-control requirements
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, IT/OT, vendors and Operations to resolve automation and controls issues
• Support reliability through system alarms, trends, monitoring and equipment performance data
• Lead system upgrade and improvement projects, including validation requirements
• Develop preventive maintenance programs and review asset lifecycles to recommend improvements
• Review, approve and assign daily tasks to technicians, and lead facilities operations meetings on preventive maintenance projects
• Monitor compliance with regulatory, quality and EHS systems, prepare for and take part in Quality and EHS audits, and identify maintenance contracts
• Supervise technicians and contractors to meet EHS goals, train facilities technicians, and take part in annual budgeting

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
• 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a strong engineering background in facilities and building systems
• Experience leading SCADA, PLC automation and BMS/EMS, and driving automation upgrades with GMP validation and change control
• Preferred: medical device manufacturing experience, construction projects experience, and proven project schedule management
