Senior Internal Auditor

About the role

Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit, the Senior Internal Auditor will lead risk‑based operational, financial and compliance audits across the Group’s diverse entities. The role focuses on evaluating governance, risk management and internal control frameworks in line with IIA Global Standards, and delivering actionable insights to strengthen the organisation’s control environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute financial, operational, compliance and IT audits for multiple group entities.
• Develop risk‑based audit programmes and detailed test plans for each engagement.
• Perform walkthroughs, test internal controls and document findings.
• Identify significant business risks and control weaknesses, and recommend improvements.
• Monitor remediation actions and conduct follow‑up audits.
• Prepare concise audit reports for senior management and the board.
• Present findings to stakeholders and collaborate on corrective actions.
• Maintain high‑quality audit documentation and working papers.
• Track group‑wide issues and validate resolution of findings.
• Stay current with regulatory changes, industry trends and best practices.
• Collaborate with finance, compliance, risk management and external auditors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of risk‑based internal audit experience in financial services, insurance or a regulated environment.
• Experience in internal controls testing or compliance is an asset.
• Professional internal audit qualification (IAP, CIA, CISA) or progress toward one.
