Senior Native Android Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Native Android Engineer to join our AI & Data team in Madrid. You will create advanced mobile solutions using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, delivering production‑grade applications and reusable SDKs within the Santander platform ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain native Android applications and product SDKs (e.g., AI chatbot Compose component).
• Integrate solutions with shared Santander Android platform building blocks.
• Apply solid software architecture and CI/CD practices to ensure quality, maintainability and scalability.
• Implement accessibility features and ensure compliance with accessibility standards.
• Publish reusable SDKs for internal and external consumption.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of exclusive native Android development experience.
• Proven experience delivering libraries or SDK products.
• Hands‑on experience with accessibility requirements.
• Strong analytical skills to work with platform components.
• Based in Madrid and able to work onsite.
