Senior Project Manager – HVDC Projects in Spain

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) projects in Spain. You will be responsible for delivering complex EPC projects, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, financial, and schedule targets while acting as the primary liaison with customers and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the project team and define the execution approach for HVDC projects.
• Oversee hand‑over, planning, monitoring, and control of internal and external resources.
• Manage project financials, invoicing, cost, expenses, and cash flow.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and pursue opportunities.
• Drive formal project acceptance, contract close‑out, and customer acknowledgment.
• Procure services, materials, and equipment; support negotiations, claims, and change orders.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and act as the escalation point for issues.
• Ensure local HVDC activities are organized, staffed, and compliant with regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven experience managing large EPC projects in the energy or industrial sector.
• Ability to navigate complex contractual setups with clients and partners.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills across multiple teams.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
• Financial acumen, commercial awareness, and proactive results‑focused mindset.
