Senior Project Manager - Oncology

About the role

TFS HealthScience, a global mid-size Contract Research Organization (CRO) partnering with biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies throughout clinical development, is hiring a Senior Project Manager for its CDS Oncology team, based in Spain. The role carries overall responsibility for managing projects in line with company policies, SOPs, regulatory requirements and financial and contractual obligations, and requires strong early-phase oncology experience.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage multidisciplinary study teams (Site Management, Data Management, Statistics, Medical Writing, Regulatory and Safety) so that milestones are met, studies stay within budget and on schedule, and quality standards are met.
• Deliver projects on time, within scope and budget, and mitigate risks arising from technical and operational choices.
• Oversee assigned Project Managers, mentor and coach them, and act as a senior governance contact for escalated issues.
• Communicate with clients, develop project plans and timelines, train study team members on project systems and procedures, and measure project performance.
• Manage the project budget, profitability and invoicing, and work with Finance & Accounting on profitability, revenue, margins and utilization.
• Allocate resources with line managers, manage third-party vendors, and report and escalate to management as needed.
• Take part in bid defenses, help define customer satisfaction improvements, and may support business development proposals.
• Help develop procedures, guidelines and SOPs, and contribute to continuous improvement of clinical operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in life sciences, or RN diploma.
• 5 years of relevant experience as a Project Manager on global oncology studies.
• In-depth knowledge of clinical research regulations, quality standards and project planning and metrics.
• Early-phase (I and II) oncology expertise.
• Leadership experience, negotiation skills, and excellent English communication.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
