Sense Engineering Manager – Advanced Industrial Technology

About the role

Ford’s Advanced Industrial Technology & Platforms (ATP) division is seeking a Sense Engineering Manager to lead the engineering organisation behind its parametric anomaly detection portfolio. This senior, people‑leadership position will own the technical system, capacity planning, and health of engineering across multiple Sense product streams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a cross‑functional engineering team delivering AI/ML‑based anomaly detection solutions.
• Own capacity planning, technical integrity, and operational health for five Sense product streams (Machine, Tooling, MILO, Stamping, Energy).
• Partner with Product Managers, safety, GME and other stakeholders to translate product problems into scalable engineering solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement of engineering processes, standards, and delivery cadence.
• Ensure alignment with Ford Production System (FPS) and FAST framework for manufacturing excellence.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading engineering teams in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong background in AI/ML, data‑driven anomaly detection, and condition‑based maintenance.
• Ability to manage complex, multi‑disciplinary projects from concept to full implementation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
