Smart Factory Project Manager

About the role

Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD), a global medical technology company, is looking for a Smart Factory Project Manager in Barcelona. The role covers planning, executing and closing projects so that they finish on time, within budget and to the required scope and quality, while leading cross-functional teams and managing the full project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Define project scope, goals and deliverables with senior management and stakeholders
• Develop full-scale project plans with tasks, timelines and resource allocation
• Communicate project expectations clearly and manage stakeholder expectations
• Estimate resources, delegate tasks and resolve issues and conflicts within the team
• Manage dependencies and the critical path, and plan and track milestones and deliverables
• Produce progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations
• Manage scope changes, anticipate crises and prepare contingency plans
• Mentor, coach and supervise team members and contractors, and run post-mortems with recommendations
• Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science) or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of direct project management experience, including process development and execution
• Proven experience managing complex projects from conception to completion
• Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams
• PMP certification is highly desirable; medical device or healthcare experience is a plus

Required skills

• Familiarity with project management software such as Microsoft Project, Jira and Asana
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Solid organisational skills, attention to detail and multi-tasking
