Software Engineer III – Threat Intelligence Platform

About the role
Google's Threat Intelligence (GTI) team is building a global platform that helps security researchers, analysts, and organizations detect and analyze cyber threats. As a Software Engineer III you will contribute to the next generation of this platform, designing and delivering robust, scalable, and secure features that power threat detection and analysis at massive scale.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement new features and enhancements for the GTI platform.
- Build and maintain systems that process, analyze, and store large volumes of threat intelligence data.
- Collaborate closely with security experts to translate their needs into actionable product features.
- Identify and implement performance, scalability, and user‑experience optimizations.
- Stay current with emerging threats and technologies to keep the platform effective.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of software development experience (or 1 year with an advanced degree).
- Preferred Master’s or PhD in Computer Science or related field.
- Experience with one or more general‑purpose programming languages such as C/C++, Python, Go, or Java.
- Experience working with data pipelines (e.g., MapReduce, Apache Beam, Apache Hadoop, Google Dataflow) or Google Cloud Platform.
