Strategic Buyer - Aerostructure Procurement (Rear Fuselage & Empennage)

About the role

Airbus Operations in Getafe (Madrid) is looking for a Strategic Buyer for its Aerostructures Procurement Team, covering the rear fuselage and empennage. The team manages the contractual and commercial frameworks behind the structural core of the aircraft, securing value and keeping the supply chain ahead in high-technology work packages.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end supplier contracts to secure optimal purchasing conditions, cost efficiency and risk mitigation.
• Identify and deliver strategic value-creation projects that affect long-term competitiveness.
• Nurture executive-level relationships with global suppliers to drive continuous performance and collaboration.
• Lead cross-functional Work Package teams on product strategy, aligning with the broader Multi-Functional Team.
• Own and execute the Procurement Plan, turning high-level strategy into commercial milestones.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration, Industrial/Aeronautical Engineering, Supply Chain or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in strategic procurement, complex contract negotiations and international supplier management.
• Advanced or fluent English.
• Leadership skills and an entrepreneurial mindset focused on value creation.
• Previous experience in aerospace or advanced manufacturing is valued.
