Strategic Buyer – Rear Fuselage & Empennage

About the role

Airbus Operations in Getafe is looking for a Strategic Buyer to manage rear fuselage and empennage procurement. The role sits within the Aerostructures Procurement Team and is responsible for shaping the structural core of aircraft through strategic sourcing and contract management.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end supplier contracts to ensure optimal purchasing conditions, cost efficiency and risk mitigation.
• Identify and deliver strategic value‑creation projects that enhance long‑term competitiveness.
• Develop and maintain executive‑level relationships with global suppliers to drive performance and collaboration.
• Lead cross‑functional work‑package teams on product strategy and align with the Multi‑Functional Team.
• Own and execute the Procurement Plan, translating strategy into commercial milestones.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration, Industrial/Aeronautical Engineering, Supply Chain or related field.
• Proven experience in strategic procurement, complex contract negotiations and international supplier management.
• Advanced fluency in English.
• Leadership ability to align technical and commercial stakeholders.
• Previous experience in aerospace or advanced manufacturing is a plus.
