Strategic Sourcing – Project Manager

About the role

The company, a global aerospace player, seeks a Strategic Sourcing Project Manager to lead sourcing and supplier development initiatives worldwide. The role will shape procurement strategies, onboard key suppliers, and ensure cost‑effective, high‑quality delivery of advanced aerospace materials.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, assess, and onboard new aerospace component and advanced material suppliers globally.
• Expand and strengthen the supplier base across Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with program objectives and build business cases for supplier selection and cost optimisation.
• Conduct cost analysis, benchmarking and data‑driven decision making.
• Manage full sourcing cycles, including supplier evaluation, contract finalisation and commercial negotiations.
• Coordinate procurement activities with project milestones and collaborate with engineering, operations, quality and finance teams.
• Monitor supplier performance using KPIs, drive continuous improvement and manage supply‑chain risks.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace standards (e.g., AS9100) and internal governance.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement or supplier development within the aerospace sector.
• Certifications such as PMP or CPSM are a plus.
• Willingness to travel internationally and a valid driving licence.
