Structured Finance Vice-President – Semi‑Liquid Private Markets

About the role

Join Santander Alternative Investments as a Structured Finance Vice-President focused on semi‑liquid private markets. Based in downtown Madrid, you will work with a high‑impact team to design and manage short‑term revolving financing structures for private lenders serving SME working‑capital needs.

Key responsibilities

• Source, structure, and fund short‑term revolving semi‑liquid portfolios across multiple jurisdictions and currencies.
• Design and implement Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) for secure lending structures.
• Oversee day‑to‑day portfolio management, ensuring composition aligns with investment criteria and objectives.
• Lead execution of Investment Committee decisions and monitor portfolio performance.
• Collaborate with private‑lending partners to identify and evaluate new investment opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in structured finance, preferably within alternative investments or private markets.
• Strong understanding of multi‑jurisdictional, multi‑currency lending structures.
• Ability to work proactively in a risk‑aware environment and make data‑driven decisions.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with internal committees and external partners.
