Summer Camp Nurse (Residential)

About the role

The Sotogrande International School is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to provide medical care for a fully residential summer camp running from 25 June to 8 August 2026. The role involves supporting campers and staff throughout the camp, ensuring health, safety and wellbeing standards are upheld.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first aid and basic medical care, including medication administration, in line with school policies.
• Maintain accurate medical records, medication logs, health histories and incident reports.
• Review health forms, coordinate with parents on medication and health requirements.
• Support development and implementation of health and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with catering teams to manage dietary restrictions, allergies and medical food needs.
• Educate campers and staff on hygiene, sun safety and nutrition.
• Manage medical supplies and equipment inventory.
• Communicate with parents/guardians regarding camper health when needed.
• Assist with arrivals, departures and camp transitions.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a current licence or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum two years of nursing experience, preferably in a residential or camp setting.
• Strong knowledge of first aid, medication administration and health documentation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
