Trainee Backend Engineer

About the role

As a Trainee Backend Engineer you will join our engineering team in Spain and start building practical experience in backend development. Working under senior engineers, you will contribute to the fundcraft platform while learning industry best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development and maintenance of backend systems using Python and Docker.
• Write basic automated unit tests and assist with integration testing.
• Help QA engineers and senior team members identify and resolve bugs.
• Document backend APIs, processes, and system architecture.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements.
• Observe and apply coding standards and design principles under guidance.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to write clean code.
• Logical, problem‑solving mindset with the ability to break down complex issues.
