Trainee Communications Specialist (Internship)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Trainee Communications Specialist to support our internal communication activities at Mercedes‑Benz Group Services in Madrid. This 1‑year internship offers a hands‑on introduction to corporate communications within an international automotive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Create and update presentations and internal content.
• Assist in planning and logistics for internal events.
• Collaborate on internal initiatives and communication campaigns.
• Draft, proofread, and distribute internal communications.
• Support intranet content creation and publication.
• Help maintain communication plans and track related actions.
• Provide general administrative support to the communications team.

Required profile

• Degree in Communication, Marketing, Journalism or a related field.
• Fluent English (mandatory).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail, creativity and ability to work in a multicultural team.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office suite – PowerPoint, Excel, Word.
• Basic knowledge of Canva or Photoshop.
• Familiarity with intranet publishing tools (a plus).

What we offer

• 1‑year internship with a monthly stipend (approximately €600‑€900).
• 35 hours per week (7 hours per day) with flexible start times between 08:00–09:30.
• Hybrid work model – three days remote, two days onsite.
• 30 vacation days plus two additional days.
