Treasury Manager

About the role

The Treasury Manager will lead GGIL’s treasury function, overseeing liquidity, capital, investment, and risk management activities. This role ensures optimal cash utilization, supports strategic financial decisions, and safeguards the balance sheet against market fluctuations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily liquidity and cash positions, ensuring sufficient funding for operations and claims.
• Oversee short‑term cash investments, manage liquidity buffers and contingency funding.
• Develop and maintain cash‑flow forecasting models and optimise surplus liquidity deployment.
• Manage FX exposures, support risk‑mitigation strategies, and handle foreign‑exchange requirements.
• Optimise regulatory capital investments, prepare capital allocation reports, and monitor solvency ratios.
• Identify balance‑sheet and capital‑optimization opportunities to enhance risk‑adjusted returns.
• Supervise investment portfolios, regulatory funds, and third‑party investment managers.
• Assist in Annual Investment Policy Statement reviews, ALM studies, and asset‑allocation strategy development.
• Monitor treasury‑related risks (liquidity, interest‑rate, FX, credit, market) and perform stress‑testing and scenario analysis.
• Maintain banking and custodial relationships, negotiate services and fees, and ensure operational efficiency across platforms.
• Prepare and present treasury reports for the Board, Executive Management, ALCO, and other committees.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or a related field.
• Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, CFA or FRM is an asset.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, treasury, or investment management.
