Windows Server Specialist: build and run

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Windows Server Specialist to join the Infrastructure Hosting Server OS team in Getafe, Spain. You will work in an international environment, supporting the full lifecycle of Windows operating systems for digital projects.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the performance of external run suppliers, including SLA follow‑up, invoice control, security patching and problem management.
• Identify gaps in supplier performance and lead corrective actions.
• Support the definition and implementation of Windows server standards and technical designs.
• Deploy the latest Windows standards in the Spanish environment.
• Assist customers in integrating Windows solutions during application design and rollout phases.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Windows server system engineer or a similar role.
• Technical expertise in Windows OS, WSUS/MECM, KMS, Active Directory, and VMware.
• Basic networking knowledge (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP).
• Experience with virtualization and clustering technologies.
• Scripting skills in PowerShell; Ansible is desirable.
• Automation experience with System Center; Ansible knowledge is a plus.
• Eligibility for security clearance.
