2nd Head of Technical Services – Hotel Occidental Ibiza

About the role

The Hotel Occidental Ibiza is looking for a proactive 2nd Head of Technical Services to ensure that all facilities, equipment and infrastructure operate at their best. You will work closely with the department manager to plan, coordinate and supervise maintenance activities across the property.

Key responsibilities

• Organise repair and improvement operations for facilities, machinery, furniture and the building to achieve optimal performance.
• Verify that invoicing and receipt allocation are accurate.
• Prepare and analyse budgets for installations, equipment and preventive‑maintenance programmes.
• Supervise the material warehouse, monitoring all inventory movements.
• Conduct physical inventories of machinery, installations and furniture.
• Oversee the upkeep of gardens and sports facilities.
• Plan and coordinate works required for special events such as banquets and conventions.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Propose disinfection and pest‑control programmes in line with official health standards.
• Assist the department head with staff scheduling, attendance records and leave management.

Required profile

• Medium‑level vocational training in maintenance (Ciclo Formativo de Grado Medio).
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar position.
• High level of English is desirable.
• Knowledge of office software and the hospitality sector is valued.
• Strong organisational, planning, time‑management, problem‑solving, communication and teamwork abilities.
