About the role

The Reception Assistant supports the front‑desk team at Barceló Portinatx, a 4‑star hotel in Ibiza. You will ensure smooth check‑in and check‑out processes, maintain a welcoming environment, and assist guests with their needs.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and process all documentation for guest check‑in and check‑out.
• Maintain cleanliness and order of the reception area and its furniture.
• Answer telephone calls from guests and external contacts.
• Handle currency exchange transactions.
• Coordinate with the kitchen and dining areas as required.
• Provide guests with information, address inquiries and resolve complaints.

Required profile

• Medium‑level vocational training in Hospitality and Tourism.
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar front‑desk role.
• High level of English; additional language is a plus.
• Adaptability, teamwork orientation and strong customer focus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
• Experience using reservation management systems.
