Accounting & Reporting Manager – Purchase to Pay

About the role

Glovo is seeking an Accounting & Reporting Manager to lead the Purchase‑to‑Pay (PtP) month‑end closing and audit processes for its entities in Italy, Portugal, Spain and Poland. Based in Barcelona, you will manage a team of accountants, ensure timely reporting, and support performance analysis against the Business Plan.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the PtP process during month‑end closing for 22 countries.
• Support statutory disclosures related to PtP for accurate financial statements.
• Lead and develop a team of 3‑6 accountants across local and international markets.
• Partner with local accounting teams to harmonise PtP processes across the Glovo group.
• Review and approve monthly reconciliations for PtP balance‑sheet and P&L accounts.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, legislation and tax regulations.
• Identify and drive PtP process improvements, including planning and implementation.
• Participate in local ERP implementations and other finance projects.
• Prepare ad‑hoc analysis to explain P&L variances versus the Business Plan.
• Collaborate with the FinOps team to align accounting flows with business needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Accounting or a related field.
• 8+ years of accounting experience in multinational companies.
• Previous people‑management experience.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, GAAP/IFRS and month‑end/year‑end closing processes.
