After-Hours Travel Consultant (German & English, Amadeus)

About the role

Amex GBT is hiring a Travel Counselor for its After Hours team, working remotely from Spain. The role serves corporate business clients, both individuals and groups, in a shared customer environment. The team is a 24/7 operation with colleagues dedicated to the night shift, but flexibility is needed for fixed afternoon shifts and weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Advise and arrange travel for corporate business customers, anticipating their needs and selling additional services
• Analyze and research travel options and book domestic and international business travel (air, road, rail, accommodation)
• Use the Amadeus Global Distribution System; refreshment training may be provided
• Ensure compliance with customer travel policies, service provider policies and regulatory requirements
• Provide positive telephone service and handle special customer requests
• Collaborate with the team to coach, mentor and give constructive feedback to improve service levels

Required profile

• Native or full working proficiency in German (written and spoken); English and another European language are a plus
• At least two years of experience
• Background in business travel, leisure travel or airline reservations
• Attention to detail, integrity and quick, independent resolution of customer issues
• Teamwork and openness to feedback

Required skills

• Native GDS expertise in Amadeus
• Business travel booking and travel policy compliance
