AI Director – Specialty Chemicals

About the role

Visium is seeking an AI Director to lead strategic AI and data initiatives for its Specialty Chemicals clients. You will act as the senior client interface, driving high‑impact transformations, expanding account relationships, and delivering measurable business value.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and grow strategic accounts across key Specialty Chemicals players, converting pipeline opportunities into long‑term partnerships.
• Own end‑to‑end delivery of complex, multi‑stream AI and data programs, ensuring technical excellence and business alignment.
• Serve as executive sponsor and trusted advisor to C‑level stakeholders in R&D, Digital and Innovation teams.
• Provide hands‑on technical and strategic guidance to delivery teams, removing blockers and safeguarding outcomes.
• Mentor consultants and engineers, fostering a high‑performance culture in partnership with the People function.
• Contribute to the evolution of Visium’s Specialty Chemicals strategy, including hiring decisions and thought leadership.

Required profile

• Strong academic background in Data Science, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Engineering or related fields.
• Proven experience leading end‑to‑end AI or data transformation programs in large enterprise environments.
• Demonstrated track record in account growth, business development and converting strategic opportunities into signed engagements.
• Ability to engage and influence C‑level stakeholders and build long‑term advisory relationships.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with talent for simplifying complex topics.
