AI Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an AI Engineer to design, develop and deploy AI solutions on Microsoft Azure. The role combines strong backend engineering with cutting‑edge Generative AI, LLM and speech‑to‑text technologies, supporting the AXA Partners AI programme.

Key responsibilities

• Develop scalable backend systems and APIs that power AI services.
• Build, optimise and maintain cloud‑based AI solutions on Azure.
• Integrate Generative AI models, large language models (LLMs), Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) and Speech‑to‑Text into production pipelines.
• Work with Azure Functions, App Services, Cosmos DB and Key Vault to implement secure, high‑performance services.
• Deploy, monitor and troubleshoot AI models and supporting backend services.
• Collaborate closely with data scientists, AI engineers and frontend developers.
• Stay current with advances in LLMs, Generative AI and prompt engineering.
• Design and implement Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) solutions using LLMs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in AI solution development and backend/API engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Azure cloud services, especially Functions, App Services, Cosmos DB and Key Vault.
• Hands‑on experience with Generative AI, LLMs, RAG and Speech‑to‑Text integration.
• Ability to deploy, monitor and troubleshoot AI models in production.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
