AI Operations Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an AI Operations Engineer to help build and run a new AI Ops function within ClickHouse’s IT Operations. Reporting to the IT Business Systems Manager, you will design, develop and maintain AI‑driven solutions and agents that support people, finance, legal and engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy AI‑powered solutions using LLMs, automation frameworks and internal tooling for business and engineering use cases.
• Integrate AI capabilities into existing systems such as HRIS, ATS, ERP, procurement, ticketing, CI/CD pipelines and legal platforms.
• Evaluate and benchmark AI models on accuracy, latency, cost and safety, and support model risk assessments.
• Build dashboards and reporting to provide cost visibility for AI/LLM spend, implement tagging and monitoring for cost anomalies, and drive optimization.
• Provision, credential and de‑provision AI agent access, manage versioning, monitoring and retirement of agents, and maintain audit trails.
• Create and deliver company‑wide AI training programs, playbooks and workshops to improve AI fluency and adoption.

Required profile

• Experience building with modern AI/ML tools and frameworks and developing APIs and data pipelines.
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure) and operating services in production.
• Ability to compare and evaluate AI models across providers, considering cost, latency and quality.
• Experience translating business and engineering workflows into technical solutions.
• Strong communication skills for creating training material and delivering workshops to mixed audiences.
