Aircraft Maintenance Technician (B1/B2) – Madrid

About the role

Airbus Defence & Space is seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Technician (B1, B2 or B1/B2) to join its LMA team in the Madrid area. The role supports MRTT aircraft, handling both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance while ensuring compliance with EASA/FAR Part 145 regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Execute modification, repair and upgrade projects on customer aircraft, managing high‑value, cross‑functional tasks.
• Perform major and complex repairs, including SB implementation and post‑delivery modifications.
• Supervise and certify work performed by non‑licensed mechanics.
• Conduct inspections, component removal/installation, system adjustments and functional testing.
• Study technical manuals, engineering drawings and provide technical assistance to the maintenance team.

Required profile

• EASA or EMAR Part 66 licence (B1, B2 or B1/B2) – type rating is a plus.
• Experience in MRO or retrofit environments, preferably with SB and AMM documentation.
• Strong mechanical and structural knowledge of aircraft systems.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment and communicate fluently in English and Spanish.
