Analytics Engineer - OpenData EMEA (Remote)

About the role

Veeva OpenData Commercial provides reference data across the healthcare ecosystem to support commercial sales, compliance and business analytics. The Analytics Engineer creates maintenance jobs that transform, clean and validate data from many sources, which is then processed on the data platform with Python. The role ensures the freshness, availability and quality of data for customers and also covers ad-hoc reports and visual reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and maintain robust, scalable crawlers
• Build reports, ad-hoc and regular ones
• Integrate extracted data into the OpenData platform
• Implement data quality and observability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience as a data analyst using SQL
• 4+ years of experience as an analytics engineer using Python
• Strong understanding of best practices such as version control and code reviews
• Hands-on experience building robust and scalable crawlers
• Solid understanding of data structures (data frames) and data models
• Experience modelling, transforming and cleaning raw data

Nice to have

• Crawling tools such as Mozenda or Zyte
• Redshift
• Dbt and Polars
