AOG Logistics Specialist

About the role

Volotea is seeking an AOG Logistics Specialist to manage urgent aircraft grounding situations. You will coordinate people, resources, and shipments to ensure critical parts reach the right location as quickly as possible.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process AOG and urgent material requests, confirming exact part details.
• Check AMOS or other inventory systems for part availability, location, and interchangeability.
• Select optimal sourcing based on lead time, stock levels, and shipping methods.
• Arrange and coordinate shipments from pick‑up to delivery, liaising with suppliers, freight forwarders, couriers, and internal stations.
• Maintain continuous information flow among shipper, consignee, vendor, and forwarder.
• Track shipments in real time and proactively resolve delays.
• Process shipment documentation accurately, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Confirm receipt transactions in the system to keep inventory records up to date.
• Adapt quickly to changing, time‑critical situations to find efficient logistics solutions.

Required profile

• 2+ years experience in logistics, supply chain, purchasing or material management (aviation MRO/OEM a plus).
• Familiarity with inventory systems (AMOS preferred) and aircraft/component records.
• Highly organized, analytical, fast problem‑solver and clear communicator under pressure.
• Proactive, team‑oriented and comfortable making quick decisions in high‑stakes situations.
• Availability to work shift patterns.
