Assistant Category Coordinator (French-speaking)

About the role

Lastminute.com, a European travel technology company behind brands such as lastminute.com, Volagratis, Rumbo, Weg.de, Bravofly, Jetcost and Hotelscan, is looking for a Category Coordinator Assistant (French-speaking) in Madrid. The role focuses on destination-level performance and pricing analysis, merchandising effectiveness and improving the user experience and product offering on landing pages. It involves coordinating and planning promotional and tactical activities, working closely with providers, the CRM, digital acquisition and brand marketing teams, and aligning demand and supply through tools and reports.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with providers and remote teams abroad to optimise the turnover of the tour operator category portfolio
• Follow up negotiations externally and renegotiate with partners when needed
• Manage product stocks, control price positioning (benchmarking) and follow up price-product-promotion positioning
• Handle day-to-day operational tasks such as last-minute and flash-sale deals
• Report and analyse destination portfolio performance to the category coordinator and category manager
• Follow up marketing operations with the marketing team and improve offer and destination visibility through e-merchandising
• Support the sales team and punctually assist Customer Care and Finance
• Help develop and improve production tools with the TO Value Stream department and Product team

Required profile

• Degree, ideally with a tourism specialisation
• Fluent French (ideally native) and good English; another foreign language is a plus
• Commercial skills, strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Proactive, team player and autonomous

Required skills

• Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint and MS Excel
• Google Analytics knowledge is a main asset
