Associate Data Research Analyst (Korean Speaker)

About the role

Morningstar's EMEA Managed Investment Data Operations team is looking for an Associate Data Research Analyst to process data across global markets. The analyst works closely with the Global Data Team and Local Business Representatives, owning data coverage, quality and timeliness, and reports to the Associate Data Manager. The position is based in the Data and Development Center EMEA in Madrid.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and process managed investment data using Morningstar collection systems, ensuring timelines, completeness and accuracy.
• Collaborate closely with global data teams and act as a data expert on investment data points, processes, methodologies, calculations and fund structures.
• Manage business relationships with fund companies and set up acquisition channels for complex data, acting as escalation point.
• Meet production deadlines for internal and external clients.
• Evaluate procedures, build and improve analytical tools, and run process improvement projects using methods such as LEAN Six Sigma.
• Own data tickets, give timely updates and follow-ups, and turn client requests into detailed specifications and user stories.
• Document client use cases so new functionality meets client expectations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Fluent English and Korean (mandatory).
• Solid understanding of the financial industry and passion for investment data.
• Team player, client centric, with strong organization and time management.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Project management methodologies such as LEAN Six Sigma.

What we offer

• Base salary of EUR 29,000 to 39,000, with a 5% annual bonus target.
• Hybrid work, typically four days in office per week.
