Avionics, Mission & Nav Systems Test Engineer

About the role

Airbus Defense and Space is seeking a Test Engineer specialized in Avionics, Mission and Navigation systems. The role is based in Getafe, Spain and will support integration test activities for multiple aircraft programmes, occasionally requiring travel to other sites such as Seville, Manching or various Air Force bases.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, support, execute and analyse integration tests at aircraft level for Avionics, Mission and Nav subsystems.
• Coordinate test activities with the Integrated Test Team, design offices and external test centres.
• Develop and maintain test plans, test requests and V&V strategies in line with programme requirements.
• Monitor test progress, collect data, generate reports and provide evidence for certification, qualification and production phases.
• Participate in test‑means development, qualification and delivery to support both integration and self‑test activities.

Required profile

• Engineering degree with a strong background in aerospace or defence testing.
• Experience in integration testing of avionics, mission or navigation systems.
• Ability to work in a multi‑disciplinary environment and manage technical coordination among various stakeholders.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
