About the role

The Technical Services Assistant supports the maintenance team at Barceló Carmen Hotel in Granada, ensuring that all technical areas are functional, safe and well‑maintained while contributing to guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in controlling and coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance across hotel facilities.
• Carry out improvement works on installations.
• Maintain cleanliness and good condition of technical areas.
• Handle guest complaints, requests and suggestions, escalating when necessary.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities without compromising service quality.
• Coordinate room blockings with reception and housekeeping.
• Contact and follow up with external contractors to ensure timely, proper execution of works.
• Supervise pool treatment processes.
• Perform exterior cleaning tasks.

Required profile

• Higher Vocational Training (Ciclo Formativo de Grado Superior) or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar technical maintenance role.
• Proficiency in English and/or German.

Required skills

• Knowledge of preventive maintenance systems.
• Knowledge of corrective maintenance systems.
• Basic understanding of HVAC (climatization) systems.
• Basic electrical systems knowledge.
• Basic refrigeration (frigorista) knowledge.
• Experience supervising pool treatment processes.
