B2B Marketing & Business Communications Consultant (Remote)

About the role

IDB Invest seeks a B2B Marketing & Business Communications professional to support its Business Planning team in positioning the institution across key industries in Latin America and the Caribbean. The consultant will enhance the visibility of transactions, events, and award‑worthy achievements, contributing to client engagement and partner attraction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver tailored communications for business transactions, highlighting financial innovation and development impact.
• Maintain an inventory of high‑profile awards, support applications, track outcomes and build a knowledge base for future submissions.
• Coordinate business events, managing agendas, logistics, invitations, vendors and stakeholder engagement, and produce post‑event reports.
• Maintain accurate stakeholder contact records and update event‑related information before and after each event.
• Support marketing campaigns and content initiatives that reinforce IDB Invest’s positioning in the region.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communication, International Relations or related field; additional certifications in B2B marketing or event management are a plus.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in B2B marketing and communications, preferably within multilaterals, development banks or large corporations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.
• Legal right to work in the country of residence and no close family members employed by IDB entities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with B2B marketing and communications tools, including content management systems, email marketing platforms and social media channels.
• Basic database management and CRM tools for tracking contacts, awards and campaigns.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite – Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Familiarity with analytics and reporting tools to monitor media coverage, engagement and campaign performance.
