Back-End Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Back‑End Software Engineer to join Santander Auto Software’s greenfield program. You will help build a state‑of‑the‑art, cloud‑native platform that will be rolled out across Europe, working with a fully remote, cross‑border team.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy back‑end services using Java and Kotlin on Spring Boot.
• Build cloud‑native applications on AWS, leveraging Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines with Docker, Jenkins and related tools.
• Adopt a “build‑it‑and‑own‑it” mindset, taking end‑to‑end ownership of features.
• Collaborate in an Agile environment and contribute to DevOps practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Self‑starter able to work independently and handle ambiguity.
• Strong sense of ownership and teamwork.
