Backend Engineer (Node.js) – Fintech Platform

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance backend services using Node.js, TypeScript and modern best practices.
• Create and optimise GraphQL and REST APIs for internal and external communication.
• Manage database architecture, performance and reliability with PostgreSQL, SQL and Prisma.
• Deploy, monitor and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Implement event‑driven architectures to improve scalability and responsiveness.
• Integrate third‑party platforms ensuring secure authentication and authorization.
• Contribute to microservices and monorepo architectures for long‑term scalability.
• Maintain engineering standards through automated testing, CI/CD pipelines and continuous monitoring.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience developing backend applications with Node.js, TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Proven experience delivering GraphQL and RESTful APIs in production.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, especially PostgreSQL, and ORM frameworks such as Prisma.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS cloud services.
• Familiarity with event‑driven and asynchronous processing patterns.
• Experience integrating third‑party services and working with OAuth/SSO authentication.
• Solid understanding of microservices, monorepos and modern development tooling.
• Fluent English communication skills and ability to work independently in a fast‑moving environment.
