Banking Off-Cycle Internship 2027 - Investment Banking, Madrid

About the role

Barclays is recruiting for its Banking Off-Cycle Internship in Madrid for 3 to 6 months. The internship lets you join the day-to-day work of the Investment Banking division, with exposure to different clients, transactions and specialist areas, and longer project exposure than a summer internship.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate on live deals and client pitches, and advise a broad range of corporate clients on structured solutions
• Work with cross-functional teams on business initiatives and take part in training and development programmes
• Help identify opportunities, develop business cases and support the launch of new products and services
• Support client relationships and customer service, answering questions about products and services and processing transactions under steadily decreasing supervision
• Develop and implement financial models and strategies that support investment banking decisions

Required profile

• Penultimate or final year of a degree in any discipline
• Fluent in English and Spanish
• Interest in business and finance, resourcefulness, teamwork, enthusiasm and an entrepreneurial spirit
