Barista / Server – Hotel Food & Beverage

About the role

Join the Hyatt Regency Trinidad team as a Barista/Server, providing friendly, efficient service across multiple food and beverage outlets. You will interact directly with guests, prepare a variety of items, and help maintain a clean, welcoming environment.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, explain specials, answer questions, and take orders and payments.
• Prepare sandwiches, baked goods, brew coffee and tea, and serve items promptly.
• Package food and beverages for sale and sell souvenirs or other stocked items.
• Clean and restock dining areas, empty trash, and sanitize equipment and utensils.
• Update signage and displays to attract customers.
• Take inventory, replenish display cases, tables, and counters.
• Follow food safety regulations and quality controls.
• Perform additional tasks as needed to support operations.

Required profile

• Minimum of three CXC O‑Level passes, including Mathematics.
• At least one year of experience in food‑and‑beverage preparation or customer service.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Physical stamina to lift moderate weights and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, nights, and public holidays.
• Positive attitude and ability to work under pressure with kitchen and service staff.
• Valid food handling badge.

Required skills

• Latte art preparation.
• Operation of point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
• Food safety compliance.
