Business & Corporate Credit Solutions Manager

About the role

The Business & Corporate Credit Solutions Manager will drive profitable growth of the bank’s credit portfolio by designing and delivering tailored financial solutions to business and corporate clients. Working closely with Business Bankers and Corporate Relationship Managers, you will assess risk, structure deals and negotiate terms while ensuring compliance with the bank’s credit policies.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct financial analysis and recommend appropriate terms, pricing, and covenants for credit proposals.
• Prepare and present credit proposals in partnership with Business Bankers and Corporate Relationship Managers.
• Review assigned credit portfolio before expiry dates and manage extensions as needed.
• Ensure credit decisions align with the bank’s risk appetite, credit quality thresholds, and regulatory requirements.
• Present credit applications to the Credit Committee, including assessment of collateral and borrower capacity.
• Provide training, guidance and coaching to sales and credit teams.
• Prepare commitment letters for approved loans promptly.
• Maintain high service standards and meet SLA timelines for credit processing.

Required profile

• Thorough knowledge of the commercial banking market in Jamaica and key industry sectors.
• Understanding of the bank’s objectives, lending products, and deposit services.
• Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with bankers, relationship managers and risk departments.
