Business Transformation Intern (MBA)

About the role

FTI Consulting, a global expert firm for organizations facing crisis and transformation, is offering a summer internship in its Business Transformations team in Madrid, between June and August 2027. The team brings together consultants and former industry executives to deliver practical, actionable solutions, and the intern works in small, collaborative groups under the mentorship of experienced consultants.

Key responsibilities

• Support live projects, interacting with team members, partners from other firms and client personnel
• Apply business, strategy, finance and analytical skills to client situations such as market sizing, market modelling, strategic planning and business plan assessment
• Help develop strategic plans, business transformations and company integrations
• Draft client presentations on project scope, findings and results
• Assist in developing pitch books and other marketing materials
• Research public and private companies and industries

Required profile

• Studying towards an MBA with graduation in 2027 or 2028
• At least three years of work experience in a financial, analytical, business or commercial role
• Fluent Spanish and English, spoken and written
• Able to work 40 hours per week for the full duration of the internship
• Willingness to travel to clients and the FTI Consulting offices

• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills (preferred)
• Effective research, independently and in a team (preferred)
• Project and people management skills (preferred)
