Category Specialist - Corporate Procurement (HR, Marketing, Professional Services)

About the role

ABB Corporate Procurement is looking for a Category Specialist for HR Services (recruiting, temporary labor, training and others), Marketing and Professional Services (consulting, legal, financial, tax services and others). The role reports to the Co-Head Corporate Procurement and sits within a function serving internal stakeholders across ABB's headquarters while driving group-wide initiatives. It is a hybrid position, open globally with a preference for CET locations such as Italy, Spain, Portugal, India and Poland.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the procurement strategy in line with the relevant category team and business stakeholders.
• Carry out purchasing activities according to needs, specifications, price, delivery schedule and contractual terms.
• Manage cooperation with a portfolio of ABB-approved suppliers and oversee their performance, quality and compliance.
• Analyze and evaluate bids, provide market insights, negotiate agreements with key suppliers and ensure sourcing events use the appropriate eSourcing tools.
• Identify and qualify new suppliers with internal stakeholders.
• Initiate and implement cost-out programs and optimization initiatives to meet financial targets and improve processes.
• Coordinate procurement orders and deliveries, keeping accurate reports and documentation in the relevant systems.

Required profile

• Ideally 5 years of procurement experience, preferably indirect services procurement in HR, marketing and professional services, or equivalent direct experience in HR, consulting, legal and/or marketing categories.
• Fluency in spoken and written English; comfort with legal and contractual terms and language.
• Hybrid work model; final location decided per candidate.
