About the role

Join the culinary team at Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, a luxury resort set in the vibrant backdrop of Puerto Portals, Mallorca. As Chef de Cuisine you will support the Executive Sous Chef in delivering exceptional dining experiences through meticulous kitchen management and creative food execution.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Sous Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and service.
• Supervise and lead kitchen staff within assigned sections, ensuring high standards of preparation and presentation.
• Maintain food quality, hygiene, and safety standards consistently.
• Manage stock levels and inventory for your section.
• Participate in menu planning and creation of new dishes and specials.
• Monitor kitchen equipment usage and maintenance.
• Train and develop junior kitchen staff, providing guidance to improve performance.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of your section in line with health and safety guidelines.
• Handle food preparation during peak periods to meet service timelines without compromising quality.
• Assist in controlling food costs and minimizing waste.
