Chef de Partie

About the role

SLS Barcelona, a five-star urban resort in the Port Forum waterfront district of Barcelona, is looking for an experienced Chef de Partie. Working under the guidance of the Sous Chef, you will run a section in the busy kitchen and help deliver excellent food to guests.

Key responsibilities

• Run a section in the busy kitchen and bring delicious options to guests' tables
• Nurture and develop the kitchen team, creating an environment where everyone can be themselves
• Keep orders and deliveries flowing smoothly and maintain high food hygiene standards
• Work with the Sous Chef on ideas and techniques that keep the kitchen creative and evolving
• Ensure statutory compliance in all food and drink areas
• Pay close attention to detail so every dish is as good as the last

Required profile

• Previous experience in a kitchen team of a similar size
• A passion for food and a positive, collaborative attitude towards guests, colleagues and the team
• A methodical, process-driven approach, flexible enough to meet deadlines
• Ability to take ownership of issues, solve problems and make effective decisions
• Openness to trying different ways of doing things
