Receptionist

About the role

The Hoxton Poblenou, an 11th Hoxton hotel in Barcelona with 240 bedrooms, a restaurant, rooftop pool and events space, is looking for a Receptionist. Reporting to the Front Office Manager, you will be the first face guests see and provide a friendly, helpful and responsive service that treats every guest as an individual.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests and make their stay special, dealing with arrivals and departures and checking that all bills are correct.
• Work with all teams to keep the hotel busy and help the Front Office Manager with overbooking levels.
• Answer phones, handle requests and give recommendations on shows and restaurants in the area.

Required profile

• Fluent Spanish and English; Catalan and additional languages are highly valued.
• Previous hotel experience is not required, though it is an advantage; training is provided.
• Previous experience with Opera PMS is an advantage.
• A positive, helpful attitude and enjoyment of working in a supportive team.
