Clinical Sales Representative - Electrophysiology (Galicia)

About the role

Abbott is hiring a Clinical Sales Representative for its Electrophysiology (EP) business in Galicia, Spain. The role is responsible for servicing the existing customer base, growing sales within it and opening new accounts, with about 25% travel time.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve the sales quota by servicing current accounts, increasing sales volume and establishing new accounts.
• Implement comprehensive sales plans to increase market penetration and open new accounts.
• Maintain a good understanding of Abbott Medical therapy and products, and develop awareness of competing products.
• Handle customer complaints and recommend consignment where necessary.
• Prepare reports, draft initial conclusions and perform administrative sales duties such as expense reporting, appointment scheduling and travel planning.
• Keep business operations in line with corporate policies on pricing, quotes, credit terms, expense reporting and quality guidelines.
• Follow and share best-practice guidelines before and after sales calls, and act as a professional ambassador of the company.
• Use the Account Profiling system to record key account details such as decision makers, needs, competitors and preferred behavioural styles.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of successful sales experience in the medical device industry; electrophysiology is a plus.
• Well organised and used to tight deadlines.
• Experience in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills; customer- and results-oriented, self-starter.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of Abbott Medical (or similar) product lines and of the business, market and account needs.
• Excellent PC skills including MS Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
